In-class photo week!
The week of Monday, June 3rd through Friday, June 7th during all classes.
The photographer will be set up in Studio B, and dancers will take turns during their normal class time for group and individual photos. Dancers will need to have their costume, all costume pieces, appropriate dance shoes, along with hair and makeup done. Click here for costume/hair/makeup details.
Sisters Rodeo Parade
Parade Route: The parade starts at the corner of Cascade (Highway 20) and Pine St. The parade heads east on Cascade (Highway 20) all the way down to Larch St. where the parade turns and ends on the corner of Adams Ave. and Fir St.
Parade begins at 9:30 AM
Saturday, June 8th
Dancers report at 9 AM to the Sisters Dance Academy group in the parade lineup on Adams Avenue in downtown Sisters – look for Lonnie’s white Chevy Tahoe with our logo! We are #37 in the parade and you will be able to find our group on Adams Ave. (somewhere between Pine St. and Ash Ave.) *Pine St. between Cascade and Barclay is closed to traffic….so be sure to park on a side street so you can walk with your dancer to meet up with our group).
What to wear: all dancers should dress in black and white with pops of red. (Team dancers wear black leggings, team jacket and pops of red.)
Recital Dress Rehearsal
Sisters High School Auditorium
Participation in the dress rehearsal is MANDATORY. The dress rehearsal allows the students to become familiar with the auditorium surroundings and feel comfortable with their performance, costume(s), and being onstage. Lighting, music cues, set changes, and all other logistics for an organized and professional performance are rehearsed so that the students make the best impression possible.
Your dancer only needs to attend dress rehearsal during their given time slot. Please have dancers to rehearsal at least 10 minutes before their time slot to be sure he/she is stage ready with his/her class. Dancers should be in full costume, with hair and makeup done. Dancers are welcome to stay and watch as much of the dress rehearsal as they would like – this is the only time they will get to see and support each other! We plan on the rehearsal going from 9 am until 4:30 pm.

No food or beverages are allowed in the auditorium. If your dancer needs to eat during dress rehearsal they must do so in the commons area. Please bring water and CLEAN food that will not stain their costume. Please pay attention to our rehearsal schedule so they do not miss their practice time on stage. Unless changing or eating a snack, dancers need to remain in the auditorium at all times.
Changing Areas: dancers may change in the choir room. There will be extra changing stations set up in that room if your dancer needs privacy. After they change they must come directly back to the auditorium. We don’t want kids hanging out back there or in the hallways as there is no organized adult supervision during dress rehearsal.
All dancers age 11 and younger must have an adult supervisor with them during the rehearsal. Dancers age 12+ may be responsible for themselves, but they are expected to be ready to perform 10 minutes prior to their time slot. We will not go hunting dancers down – if they miss their rehearsal time, they are not eligible to perform. All dancers in the audience during rehearsal are expected to be supportive, courteous and quiet.
Label EVERYTHING: If they are bringing it, label it.
