> CIRCLE OF FRIENDS has developed strong connections to school and community resources that allow opportunities for children to build personal skills, pursue individual talents and maintain active participation outside of the school day and summer months. Learn more at www.circleoffriendsoregon.org.

> FAMILY ACCESS NETWORK (FAN) provides services to connect families to food, shelter, clothing, school supplies, health services, and after-school activities such as dance classes. FAN can provide one dance class per approved student and encourage scholarship recipients to share some of the cost whenever possible. Advocates are located in all Deschutes County Schools. The office for the Sisters School District is in the district office across from the elementary school.

Policies

Safety is of the utmost importance! Children under the age of eight must be walked into the building and picked up inside the building by a supervising adult or older sibling. Please be prompt in dropping off and picking up children. It is important that dancers are on time and ready for class so they can participate in warm-ups that are critical in mitigating physical injuries.

Parents and siblings are welcome to observe class from designated areas as long as they do not become a distraction. Our hallways are very tight so please consider observing every other class.

Attendance is taken for each class. Consistency is a valuable tool in learning and attending all classes regularly is essential to learning and growth. Missed classes may be made up in another age-appropriate class within one month of absence and can be arranged through the front office. However, this becomes more difficult the month or so before recitals.

For those participating in a recital, attendance of the dress rehearsal is mandatory.

If Sisters School District closes due to snow or other acts of nature, classes held before 2:00 p.m. are automatically cancelled. However, this does NOT mean that afternoon classes will be cancelled. You will be notified via email and/or text by 2:00 p.m. if classes are cancelled.

If the studio must cancel classes due to weather or other events beyond our control, students may attend the re-scheduled class or a different class appropriate for their age and experience level. No refunds for lessons missed due to these reasons will be given. If there are more than three weather/natural event cancellations for your class, a separate class will be scheduled.

Late Fees: Tuition is due by the 6th of each month. If it has not been received by the 15th, a late fee of $15 will be applied.

Insufficient Funds Fees: $20 will be charged for overdraft/bounced checks.

Certain risks are involved in the classes offered at the Sisters Dance Academy. All safety precautions will be taken on the part of the instructors. By joining a class you are agreeing to release all instructors, building owners, and anyone else associated with this business of responsibility in the event of an injury or accident. In addition you are agreeing to follow all stated policies and procedures.

By joining a class you grant Sisters Dance Academy, its representatives and employees the right to take photographs of the dance participant in connection with Sisters Dance Academy. You agree that Sisters Dance Academy may use such photographs of the dance participant with or without your name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content. We make every effort to protect the privacy of you and your child. If you wish to opt out of our Photo Release, please notify the front office.
