Prepare for Class
WATER: Bring a water bottle with your name on it! The studio does not have a drinking fountain.
CLOTHING: Wear appropriate, approved dance clothing that follows the dress code (see below for what to wear and where to shop)
FOOTWEAR: Our studio has very special, delicate dance flooring. Please wear appropriate and clean dance shoes. Dance shoes, including those for hip hop, should be reserved for class only and not worn outside.
HAIR: Hair must be up and away from the face. Buns are required for ballet classes; tight ponytails are required for all other classes. Please keep extra hair ties in your dance bag.

What to Wear
Tight Ponytail

Classic Ballet Bun
For class, any style of bun is acceptable, as long as it keeps hair neatly and tightly in place away from the face.
For performances, Miss Lonnie requests a “classic ballet bun,” which lays relatively flat against the head — think cinnamon roll. Hair “donuts” or “bun builders” typically add too much bulk and sticks out too far from the head. Use them only for thin or short hair. Check with Jenica with any questions.
